Imogen Cronin to Be Remembered at Funeral and Celebration of Life in Oxford
Family and friends are preparing to celebrate the life of Imogen Cronin, whose funeral and celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 16, following an outpouring of love and support for her family in the weeks since her passing.
In a heartfelt message shared with the community, Imogen’s family expressed their gratitude to everyone who has offered comfort during an incredibly difficult time. They thanked relatives, friends, and well-wishers for the countless messages, phone calls, cards, flowers, and embraces they have received, saying the overwhelming support has meant more than words can express.
“Our family has been completely overwhelmed by the love, kindness and support shown to us over the past few weeks,” the family wrote. “Every message, phone call, card, flower and hug has meant more than words can ever express. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing beside us during the hardest time of our lives.”
The family has invited everyone who knew and loved Imogen to attend both her funeral Mass and the celebration of her life as they gather to honor her memory and reflect on the lasting impact she had on those around her.
According to the funeral announcement, the day’s services will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a funeral Mass at The Oxford Oratory Church of St. Aloysius Gonzaga. Following the service, Imogen will be laid to rest at Wolvercote Cemetery, where attendees are invited to bring white flowers as a tribute.
Later that afternoon, family, friends, and members of the wider community will gather for a celebration of Imogen’s life beginning at 2:00 p.m. at The Perch on Binsey Lane in Oxford. The event is intended to provide an opportunity for those who knew her to share memories, celebrate her life, and support one another.
In their message, Imogen’s family described her as someone whose life was defined by love, laughter, and kindness. They said it would mean a great deal to have everyone whose life she touched join them in remembering the remarkable person she was.
“Imogen lived her life with so much love, laughter and kindness, and we would love nothing more than to have everyone who was touched by her there to celebrate the beautiful memories she leaves behind,” the family shared.
